David Cender, CPA, CA, CPA (IL), is a Partner with MNP’s International Tax Services practice. Dave leads the cross-border tax group at the South Surrey office. He primarily consults with Canadian and U.S.-based corporations regarding their business structuring, cross-border planning and compliance needs. He also advises individuals regarding Canadian, U.S. and international tax issues. He is known for distilling complicated tax issues into easily understood language.

Dave has significant experience advising U.S. citizens residing in Canada regarding their Canadian and U.S. tax compliance and estate planning needs. In addition, he frequently provides advice to individuals entering or leaving Canada. In addition, he has assisted many Canadians plan for the acquisition of U.S. real estate.

He also advises Canadian and U.S.-based corporations regarding their business structuring and cross-border planning needs for Canadian entities entering the U.S. and U.S. entities considering doing business in Canada.

David received a Bachelor in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1994. He obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 1995 and his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from Illinois in 2004. David has a keen interest in baseball and has been coaching in his community for over 10 years.
